There are approximately 180 staff based in the 4,000sqm facility today, scheduled to grow to approximately 300 staff by the end of 2026.About the roleThe Quality Team is expanding in response to increased production quantities and product complexity. DroneShield is looking to recruit a QA Technician who will work with the team to ensure DroneShield products are built to a high standard and components received from our suppliers are consistent in quality and performance.The position will report primarily to the Quality Manager and will work closely with the Production Team, Operations Team, and the Procurement Team. This role will suit someone with excellent attention to detail and a passion for technology who wants to develop their career in a fast-moving ASX listed defence technology company.Responsibilities, Duties and ExpectationsConduct Incoming Quality Checks as per the IQC Criteria setup by DroneShieldReview Supplier Quality reportsRecord the IQC results in ERP (Odoo) corresponding to each quality check pointMove failed parts to Quarantine area physically and in OdooRaise Quality Alerts/NCRs for the failed partsConduct Outgoing Quality checks on DroneShield productsReport issues identified at incoming and outgoing QC to Quality Manager/QA OfficerQualifications, Experience and SkillsExperience in a production environmentExperience with inspection equipment/CMM requiredExperience with Odoo or similar ERP system preferred but not necessaryExperience with RF equipment and electronics preferred but not necessaryPassionate about technology and ability to understand complex technical problems so issues can be properly communicated to stakeholdersExcellent attention to detailAbility to work autonomously and as part of a fast-paced teamRespect and appreciation of process, doing the right thing even if no one is watchingStrong ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and handle pressure"Can do" attitude and willingness to help in a variety of tasks, including occasional tasks unrelated to the core roleSuitable to hold a security clearance if requiredWe are unable to sponsor candidates for this role.
