We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Weld Inspector to join the Saunders International team based on site at Kwinana, Western Australia.

THE ROLE Responsibilities Ensures formal standards and regulatory codes appropriate to the organisation's needs are identified and applied throughout the organisation.Ensure Safe Act Observations (SAO) and workplace inspections are being carried out in line with Saunders International goals.Preparation and compilation of all project specific ITP's and compliance there under.Monitor and survey over project delivery compliance inclusive of subcontractors not limited to civil, structural, mechanical, piping, tanks, electrical and instrumentation.Ensuring overall SHEQ and QA plan implementation and compliance.Assisting SHEQ & Project/Site Manager with the preparation of Quality Plans, ITP's and Checklists for projects.Assisting SHEQ & Project/Site Manager with the preparation of MDR's.Carry out internal audits as per the company audit schedule.Carry out supplier/contractor audits as per the company audit schedule.Assist the company wherever possible to ensure employees, clients and visitors comply with Saunders Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures at all times.Ensure the MyOSH system is up to date with training records of new and existing personnel.Ensure the MyOSH Contractor Management Database is maintained current with supplier/contractor company information, performance reviews and current insurance certificates for all approved suppliers.Conduct and engage in training activities to improve the skills of Saunders employees in utilisation of Company systems. ABOUT YOU Essential Welding Supervisor certifications ie. WTIA AS1796-10, CSWIP 3.1 (Level 2) Welding Inspector.General WHS Induction for Construction (White Card).Thorough knowledge of API 650, API 653, ASME and Australian Standards.Experience with verification and reporting of fabrication, assembly and installation activities, including:Visual and dimensional inspection of materials and equipment.Fabrication and welding inspection.Materials and consumable control.NDT and weld traceability.Experience with reviewing and verifying documentation, including material certification, inspection and test reports, welder qualification records, weld traceability, NDT reports and Manufacturer's Data Reports (MDR).Experience with compiling Inspection and Test Plans from API Inspections Scope of Works.Thorough knowledge of Document Control processes.Current C Class License.Good communication & presentation skills at all levels, both written & verbal.Ability to communicate effectively within your team, and with other staff.Being flexible and open to different approaches, ideas, and ways of working to meet changing needs.Ability to articulate ideas clearly and listen actively.Analytical and problem-solving skills. Desirable Welding Supervisor qualifications ie. WTIA AS1796-10, CSWIP 3.1 (level 2) Welding Inspector.Internal Audit Qualified.External/Lead Assessor Qualified.Experience in tank building industry.AICIP / API 653 Inspector Qualified.Previous experience using Aconex Document Management Tool.
