Qa/Qc Microbiology Officer

About the company / role : The company is a well-known beverage manufacturer based in Peats Ridge, NSW.
They are seeking a QA / QC microbiology officer to join the team immediately.
This is a full-time, casual role until mid-January but there are opportunities for extension.
Duties : QC checks along the production line (pre-production, in-process and hygiene)Sample collection and preparation for internal and external testing (swabbing, cultures, storage, labelling etc.
).Microbial platingSensory testingVisual and physical QC checks (e.g.
bottle weights, labels)Quality documentation (data entry, record keeping, logbook verification etc.
)Laboratory housekeepingSkills / experience : Bachelor of Science, majoring in Food Science, Microbiology or related disciplineKnowledge of microbiological analysis performed on food and / or beverages.Previous experience in the food industry in a similar role is highly advantageous.Positive attitude and willingness to learnExcellent communication skillsHigh attention to detailMethodical, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentCulture & Benefits : A great opportunity for a food science graduate to gain valuable experience in the beverage industry.
