Job Description Perform Surveillance Inspection to ensure that the construction work is performed and duly meeting the project specific Quality RequirementsVerify in process inspection, final inspection and weldingCarry out Welding control and inspectionPrepare and maintain Welding Audit Report during constructionRecord result of inspections and maintain records of specific items as per contract or specificationsAdminister AFI request to Client and 3rd party and coordinate for inspection as identified in the respective discipline ITPRaise Non-conformance reports as seen during inspection and follow-up on status of rework and close-outArrange for proper NDT requirements as per specificationsInterpret RT films pertaining to welding jointsReview all NDT reports and approvalEstablish and maintain inspection and NDT progress status on weekly basisGenerate weekly weld rejection rate summary and weekly welder performanceWitness all testing activities as required by approved Inspection and Test planMonitor PWHT activities carried out as per approved procedureAttend to all potential quality issues to prevent occurrence of defectsPrepare Test Packs for Piping Hydrostatic testingPrepare or compile final punch list prior to delivery of the fabricated and assembled componentsFollow-up with other discipline HOD's to get relevant documents as per MDR Index for compilingCompile records for MDR (Final Dossiers)Coordinate with client for review and approval of the MDRCarry out surveillance activities during project executionJob Requirements Diploma in Mechanical EngineeringExperience in Marine Shipyard as an inspector in structural/piping disciplineWith valid AWS or CSWIP 3.1 certificateHave basic knowledge in structural and piping materialsGood analytical skills, self-motivated and good team playerService oriented, able to work with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives
