So what makes BizCover stand out from the crowd?The Team:The Risk and Compliance team basically does what it's name suggests – we advise the business on matters of risk strategies and mitigation and compliance obligations. Reporting directly to the Head of Risk and Compliance you will work in a team that is responsible for the Quality Assurance, Dispute Resolution and the Compliance function across all BizCover channels and geographies.Duration: 6 months fixed term contract (Opportunity for Perm)The Role:Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, the QA & Compliance Manager leads the QA team and ensures the adequacy of the QA framework.Oversee compliance across the business, ensuring adherence to regulatory obligations and AFSL.Manage internal compliance, monitoring, supervision, and risk frameworks.Oversee Third Party Risk Management, including contract review, supplier calendar maintenance, and sanction screening.Support dispute resolution and ensure fair, timely outcomes for customers.Requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to embed compliance into operations and strategy.Day to day responsibilities:Compliance:Implement and oversee risk and compliance policies, ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks and AFSL obligations.Manage legal and compliance matters, including contracts, agreements, and sanction screening.Conduct training on compliance and QA, monitor legislative changes, and update policies as needed.Support complaints handling, breach and incident management, and customer communications to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.Review marketing materials and collaborate with insurer compliance teams.Quality Assurance (QA):Lead the QA team, ensuring effective frameworks and reporting.Oversee call centre QA, including script creation, scoring, and calibration sessions.Provide insights on operational performance and risks.Manage QA projects and address escalated matters in alignment with compliance standards.How will I be measured?Existence of up-to-date QA and compliance frameworks including documentation of processesPassing of ongoing auditsMeeting KPIs with regards to QAAdvancement and embedment of our compliance automation frameworksTimely resolution of complaintsOver time the reduction in the reoccurrence of the repeated complaints through the identification of root causes via the QA processWhat do I need to be successful?Law degreeA minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in insurance law and/or financial services lawStrong attention to detailAbility to prioritize and manage competing demands and time framesAbility to work with a wide range of people in a collegiate and responsive mannerBenefits:Hybrid working model with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days a week and a minimum of 2 days a week in the Sydney CBD office.Exciting and rewarding team cultureQuarterly recognition awardsBusiness Casual dress codeRewarding Employee Incentive ProgramGrowing company with progression opportunitiesDiversity of employees makes for a creative and fun workplace.
