Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Our client, a successful manufacturing and wholesale FMCG company is seeking to recruit a Purchasing Specialist to drive purchasing operations for optimum efficiencies to meet inventory demand. The ideal candidate for the role would be someone with extensive inventory/procurement analytics experience who understands the synergy between IBP and S&OP processes and how this influences purchasing operations. The Role: Subject matter expert re Purchasing systems (i.e. Navision & BOARD) Provide System ownership/knowledge expertise as part of the IBP / S&OP process, including creating system presentations and developing and maintaining background system controls and setup. Ensure system data integrity, enabling leverage of "BOARD" for decision-making and reporting. Mentor, train, and instruct the Purchasing team in system operations to impart knowledge and understanding. Compile, construct and distribute business reporting requirements, ensuring communication of inventory risk. Deliver optimized inventory and supply plans against agreed business working capital and service levels, maintaining supply against demand signals. Master Data is maintained within business systems, analysed and regularly updated. Maintain an Operating Cadence, develop and implement SOPs / Work Instructions, delivering process control. To ensure system accuracy, the Purchasing team must be able to complete all vendor reviews as scheduled, and appropriate forecasts/purchase orders must be placed within delegated authorities/guidelines. Assist in purchasing operations (e.g., order placement, documentation and payment requirements, forecasting, shipping monitoring, and permits). To participate in business BAR/Gate and S&OP processes (i.e. IBP Supply Review), delivering effective participation, structure and reliable expertise in relevant cross-functional teams and projects.  Your Background Purchasing experience in a manufacturing and wholesaler environment.  Proficient in using purchasing ERP systems. 5-10 years of experience in purchasing/procurement. Previous analytics experience within purchasing operations. Knowledge of S&OP processes – Demand Planning to Supply Logistics experience with freight forwarding, importation and global container movements Worked as part of a cross-functional team with different departments. Experience working with external stakeholders such as: Suppliers, Logistics providers, Freight Forwarders, and Regulatory Authorities. What's on offer?
