The Opportunity Due to continuous significant growth, our Pemulwuy Head Office is looking for a Purchasing Officer. This is the perfect role for someone with 2 – 3 years' experience in purchasing to expand their knowledge and be trained by our very experienced purchasing team.
Your main responsibility will be to secure an uninterrupted supply of spare parts at the right price while ensuring stock availability to our branches and customers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your purchasing, negotiation and analytics skills, and gain industry knowledge while working closely with our existing strong purchasing team.
The key responsibilities: Develop and maintain effective relationships with our many suppliers worldwide, ensuring competitive pricing and exceptional delivery performance. Analyse product needs in the portfolio Create purchase orders to suppliers and secure the timely delivery of supply. Proactively identify and resolve supply risks Help our Sales team to find solutions for our customers Building on existing procedures and working with the team, continuously identify opportunities to improve our business and operational efficiency. About You The role requires a committed and proactive individual with exceptional care factor, foresight, and attention to detail.
You have 2-3 years' experience in purchasing, in an automotive or industrial environment. You are looking for an opportunity to grow upon your existing purchasing experience and broaden your skill set. You have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field. You have effective verbal and written communication skills and able to adapt to people from all backgrounds. You process strong analytical and organisational skills. You are a good negotiator able to maintain good supplier relationships Your advanced computer skills - MS office, purchasing systems, BI tools - are essential. What's in it for you?
