Purchasing Officer - Part Time

Our portfolio includes globally renowned [yellow tail] wine and a range of wines from Australia's premium regions including Peter Lehmann Wines Barossa, Brand's Laira Coonawarra, Morris Wines Rutherglen and Baileys of Glenrowan.We are looking for a bright, dynamic and 'keen to learn' team member to join our busy Purchasing team. The Purchasing Officer is responsible for providing efficient and effective purchasing services for all departments across the winery.What is the role? Purchase materials, equipment and/or supplies at the best price in accordance with purchasing guidelinesLiaise with suppliers regarding ordering, quotes and invoicesFollow up all outstanding purchase ordersMaintain all purchasing recordsEstablish effective working relationship with suppliersBatch purchase orders and delivery dockets for processingEnsure pricing in purchasing system is correct for items purchasedAssist in data entry and purchasing administrative activities About YouOur ideal candidate will possess the ability to learn quickly, have proficient computer skills and strong written and verbal communication skills. You will be a proactive team player who has a high attention to detail, strong customer service skills and effective time management.Previous experience in a similar purchasing role within manufacturing will be highly regarded but is not essential to this role.The Part Time role must be able to work Monday & Tuesday with a minimum of 16 hours a week.
