We have a great opportunity for a Purchasing Officer to join us in Collie as part of our Worley Power Services team. We are a leading provider of integrated asset management, operations and maintenance services to the power and energy industry.
The Purchasing Officer will ensure that all procurement & purchasing activities are completed in accordance with our policies and procedures in a safe and cost-effective manner. The role supports both maintenance and operational staff through accurate and timely application of existing logistics procedures.

What you'll do Prepare, order and purchase goods, materials and servicesWork closely with Operations and Maintenance to ensure timely procurement of materials and suppliesPrepare vendor RFQs and evaluate submissionsParticipate in supplier auditingReceive delivery of purchases and verify goods against invoices and purchase ordersTrack supplier spend and savingsRecommend and support continuous improvement initiativesLiaise with suppliers regarding all aspects of procurement from quote to invoice processing, including raising purchase orders and managing delivery docketsEnsure month-end responsibilities are completed according to deadlinesResponsible for annual audit and reporting against stockGenerate and act on MRP Reports (Material Reorder Report)What you'll have Proven experience in a Procurement or Purchasing roleAble to interpret and negotiate contracts and pricing agreementsWell-rounded analytical, research, and evaluation skillsCommercial savviness with the ability to interpret contractual termsLogistics experience is highly desirableStrong ERP experience – Microsoft Dynamics AX is a definite advantageExperience in Power generation or other heavy industry will be highly regardedAdvanced MS Office skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levelsSome knowledge of the materials you will be responsible forSelf-motivated requiring minimal supervision that can achieve performance goalsKnowledge and prior experience using SAP Fiori for materials managementWhy you should apply Join a fun and inclusive, global team of professionals.Enjoy a varied & challenging role.ASX listed global energy leader.A supportive work environment where innovation is inspired, and new ideas are encouraged.Opportunities for personal and professional development and career growth.Be part of a global company committed to health, safety, and the environment.Moving forward together We want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
