Purchasing Officer

HSS is a market leading technical recruitment and labour hire company specialising in the delivery of high quality personnel to the Mining, Oil & Gas, Resource, Civil and Construction sectors.

Our client, based in Collie , is currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer for their mining operations to ensure production outcomes are achieved in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

Role Description:
You will be responsible for the procurement and expediting process for the delivery of equipment and the supply of goods and services, including receipt, storage and issue of goods and materials in a timely and cost-effective manner, as well as invoice reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:
Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills Understanding application and procedures in supply Literate in Procurement or ERP systems (Pronto) Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products Resource industry experience Valid WA "C" class driver's licence (essential) Ability to pass Pre-employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol screen Desired Qualifications:
Diploma in Business/Supply Competence in Materials Management; Dangerous & Hazardous Materials Handling; and Manual Handling Remuneration:
Based on Monday to Friday (average 42 hours per week) Temporary to Permanent opportunity Applicants must live within commuting distance to Collie to be considered!

Start Date: ASAP
Duration/Term: Ongoing casual contract with opportunity for permanency.
