HSS is a market leading technical recruitment and labour hire company specialising in the delivery of high quality personnel to the Mining, Oil & Gas, Resource, Civil and Construction sectors.Our client, based in Collie, is currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer for their mining operations to ensure production outcomes are achieved in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.Role Description:You will be responsible for the procurement and expediting process for the delivery of equipment and the supply of goods and services, including receipt, storage and issue of goods and materials in a timely and cost-effective manner, as well as invoice reconciliation.Key Responsibilities:Excellent customer service and problem-solving skillsUnderstanding application and procedures in supplyLiterate in Procurement or ERP systems (Pronto)Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of productsResource industry experienceValid WA "C" class driver's licence (essential)Ability to pass Pre-employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol screenDesired Qualifications:Diploma in Business/SupplyCompetence in Materials Management; Dangerous & Hazardous Materials Handling; and Manual HandlingRemuneration:Based on Monday to Friday (average 42 hours per week)Temporary to Permanent opportunityApplicants must live within commuting distance to Collie to be considered!Start Date: ASAPDuration/Term: Ongoing casual contract with opportunity for permanency.If your experience meets the criteria and you have Australian Working Rights, click "Apply for this job" and attach your up-to-date resume including your work history and contactable referees who have supervised your experience.
