The Role We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Officer to join the Purchasing Team at our Store Support Centre located in Derrimut. The purpose of this position is to facilitate the accurate placement of orders and the timely delivery of product into the Distribution Centre's. This involves data entry and maintenance across multiple data bases, along with follow up on the shipping of purchased product. Key responsibilities include: Process paperwork associated with product orders including entering orders onto the system, reviewing supplier invoices, electronic filing, monitoring correspondence, and maintaining order details/changesProcess and maintain product range in the systemFrequent and accurate update of reports and databasesAnalysis of stock movement and advise of anomaliesOngoing Monitoring of overseas and local orders and communicating with suppliersLiaise with Shipping agents to ensure optimum shipping timesMonitor delivery of product into our DC's and follow through where necessaryLiaise with DC and SSC personnel and advise of due shipmentsProcess invoices and documents as appropriateAbout You To be successful in the role: Previous experience in Administration rolePrevious experience in Purchasing is preferred but not essentialStrong computer skills are essential: especially use of Microsoft Excel spreadsheetsStrong communication skills are essential: especially use of Microsoft OutlookStrong time management skills: can effectively manage and prioritize tasksHigh accuracy and attention to detailBenefits In return for your efforts, we offer an attractive salary package, generous product discounts and a great supportive team culture.
