Purchasing Officer

Seeking an experienced purchasing officer in Townsville for a DIDO mine site opportunity!Our client is a privately owned gold mine situated approximately 130km south of Townsville and 90km east of Charters Towers in North-east Queensland.Your new roleDue to coverage requirements, our client is currently looking to recruit an experienced purchasing officer. Your new role would be a Tues - Fri roster DIDO from Charters Towers or Townsville. Looking for an initial term of three months.Requirements include:Previous purchasing experience preferably within a mining environment or similar;Experience with Pronto is beneficial;Ability to resolve order/delivery discrepancies with suppliers;Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with suppliers;Understanding and undertaking the expediting process;Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with internal clients;Ability to prioritise especially for urgently required items;Prepared to undertake stock taking and other tasks as required.
