About the Role
The Purchasing Officer is responsible for the purchasing required for all manufacturing and consumables requirements for day-to-day operations and direct Customer Spares orders for Rail Turnout equipment. They maintain inventory levels to ensure max/min levels are optimised, market prices are regularly tested, consignment opportunities are maximised and slow moving stock is addressed.
The Purchasing Officer also manages the logistics of inbound purchased goods and arranges the invoicing of all outbound items, whilst optimising despatch costs of customer orders.

About You Demonstrates a strong safety and environmental culture.Good negotiation skills.
