The Supply Chain & Logistics team is responsible for supporting the organisation in achieving its full potential by accelerating the delivery of value through supply chain and logistics / procurement improvement initiatives.
About the Role This role is part of the centralised buying team, focused on coordinating and managing purchasing needs to ensure Beach Energy gets the right goods and services on time, at the best overall value.
You'll work to minimise costs and risks while staying aligned with our company's policies and processes, helping us get the most out of our contracts with third-party partners .
Over time the role will look to evolve as we continue to modernise our business with digital procurement and AI.
Key responsibilities will include: Managing purchase orders from order placement to payment, ensuring timely supply of goods and services Reducing and/or containing costs and managing risk to the business within the procurement scope Achieving overall results in line with Procurement measurements; active vendors; spend via catalogue; spend without PO and benefits Supporting the implementation of new contractual arrangements into the systems and across the business Monitoring supplier performance and managing internal and external communications Managing low value and non-contractual spend to achieve efficiencies About You We are seeking a candidate with relevant experience, ideally in the upstream energy industry or a similar sector.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the end-to-end Procure to Pay process, as well as excellent relationship management and communication skills to engage effectively with a diverse and geographically dispersed group of stakeholders.
Attention to detail, honesty, integrity, and professionalism are essential qualities for this role.
You should also have strong influencing and negotiating skills and be highly proficient in MS Office, SAP, and COUPA.
The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines is key to success in this position.
