Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Full time About the Role: Reporting to the Materials Manager, you will play a key role in the purchasing team with an initial focus on pro-actively managing the expediting function and ensuring accuracy of open Purchase Order dates are maintained in SAP MRP. In your new role you will:
Proactively establish regular Back Order reporting with Key Suppliers to maintain the most accurate planned delivery dates. Communicate supply issues with internal customers and offer alternative items or suppliers. Action expedites, de-expedites or cancellations against SAP MRP and re-negotiate if necessary. Place and confirm orders against SAP MRP requirements. Gain Quotes, Negotiate cost and terms and conditions with suppliers. Monitor and report on supplier performance. About You: To be successful, you will have:
Completion of an advanced certificate in Purchasing/Procurement is preferred, or knowledge gained from more than 5 years practical experience and/or other Purchasing/Procurement training. SAP MRP or other ERP system experience. Demonstrated communication experience with various stakeholders. Passion for the supply chain industry.
