PURCHASING OFFICER
About the role:
The Purchasing Officer is responsible for providing administrative support to the Procurement Team. The role mainly consists of office-based work raising purchase orders and processing goods receipts within the Finance System.
What will you be doing: Receive purchase order requests, clarify requirements, and raise purchase ordersLiaise with suppliers to coordinate orders.Process goods receipts promptly and accurately.Respond to simple internal and external enquiries. More complex/sensitive matters are to be escalated.Participate in testing and implementation of new processes, systems, and tools.Liaise with staff to ensure a clear understanding of their purchase requirements and confirm receipt of goods/servicesCompliance with procurement policy and frameworkRespond promptly to purchasing enquires What we require from you: Qualifications and experience Previous experience in an administration, purchasing or accounts payable team would be highly regarded but is not essentialProficient in Microsoft office suite of applications (Outlook, Excel and Word)A current driver's licenceKey attributes Good written and verbal communication skills.Good time management skills.High level of attention to detail.High level of accuracy in data entryUnderstanding of Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental principles.Previous applicants need not re-apply About the company:
