Purchasing Officer

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Purchasing Officer to join the team.
This role has become available due to leave cover and team restructuring.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement processes, including sourcing and purchasing materials, negotiating supplier agreements, and maintaining inventory levels.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional familiar with procurement systems, such as SAP, to make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities: Source and purchase materials in a cost-effective and timely manner.
Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
Collaborate with different departments to understand and meet procurement needs.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Monitor supplier performance and report on findings.
Requirements: Previous experience as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar role.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency with procurement systems, preferably SAP.
A proactive and solution-driven approach to work.
Immediate availability and willingness to work on a rostered schedule.
