About the Role Reporting to the management team, we are seeking a Purchasing Officer to undertake purchasing activities and maintain inventory.
This includes:
Sourcing quotes, purchasing products and raising purchase orders.Selecting, maintaining and approving suppliers based on capability, performance and price.Approving supplier invoices for payment.Ensuring inventory/stock levels are maintained.Conducting regular stocktakes.Providing advice in relation to suppliers, prices, quality, lead times.Adjusting order quantities and adjusting min/max levels to current sales data and history.Overseeing and checking incoming inventory-related invoices and documents.Booking and tracking incoming and transfer freight.Candidate Requirements: Experience in inventory management, purchasing, or supply chain.Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.Ability to analyse data and make informed purchasing decisions.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.You will also enjoy learning about the products, processes, materials and components of a fast-paced, specialist field of manufacturing, fabrication and technical assembly.
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable (but not essential).
