As the Purchasing Officer, your primary responsibility will be to establish and execute strategic objectives that optimize procurement processes and support sales and marketing initiatives.
You will play a key role in negotiating pricing, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient procurement of goods to meet production demands.
For You $80k + Super + 6-month salary review Full-time, on-site position in Bayswater 7.30 am - 4.00 pm (38hr week) On-site training provided in all three factories/warehouses Competitive remuneration package and career progression opportunities Work in a team of three, along with the CEO and GM (report directly into the GM) Supportive and collaborative company culture Immediate start Professionalism and respect The What Negotiate price procurement and supplier service of incoming goods Plan, schedule, and procure production requirements Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements Maintain accuracy of production schedule within ICS Maintain accuracy of stock valuation by periodically reviewing ICS records against physical stock Onboard new suppliers in line with the Company Approved Supplier program Schedule products in line with procurement MOQs & lead times, considering customer expectations Maintain material stock holding in line with production requirements Work closely with other managers within the business to deliver business objectives Support the sales functions by liaising with customers in a professional manner to communicate any required information, or queries/challenges with the customer orders Assist the management team in bringing new products to market in an agreed timeframe The How Experience in developing and executing procurement strategies Bring energy and excitement to the position Have genuine care and work well under pressure Proven experience as a purchasing officer or manager Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems Excellent communication abilities Have an interest in developing and following business processes Demonstrable experience continuously reducing business costs Experience working within a Quality systems compliance environment Be able to motivate and lead by example, as a role model to the wider business Competent spelling, verbal & accurate written expression skills Our client believes in not just what they do, but how they do it.
