An opportunity exists for a fulltime Purchasing Officer at our food service branch located on the Central Coast.
About the Role: Reporting to the Branch Manager, this senior role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of purchasing within the branch, including maintaining inventory levels, achieving KPI's, and managing stock levels in addition to working with all departments within the Branch.
Duties: Maintain inventory levels to service the needs of our customersAchieve KPI's for inventory and warehouse efficienciesNegotiate with suppliers for positive and ongoing stock dealsManage stock levels to ensure customer satisfaction whilst maintaining high stock turnsLiaise with all departments in a professional timely mannerPerform some general administrationSkills and Experience: Previous purchasing experienceAbility to negotiate and strong problem solving skillsComputer literacy, including the ability to quickly learn internal systemsApplicants may be subject to a pre-employment medicalAlso proven and demonstrated experience in managing a small purchasing team would be viewed favourably.
