38 hours per week (enjoy flexible start and finish times).Monday to Friday.The role Working closely with the sales teams and the workshop teams on a national basis, you will be responsible for purchasing parts and inventory from the Sandvik local and global system.
Manage and enhance supplier relationships, ensuring targets like on-time delivery and lead-time accuracy are met.Engage suppliers in initiatives to improve parts availability and reduce inventory.Conduct regular business reviews and address issues as needed.Oversee end-to-end operational buying tasks, such as purchase order placement, tracking, and resolving issues like invoice discrepancies.Maintain system parameters (e.g., lead-time, safety stock) to improve availability and reduce lead-time.Support supply chain improvement projects and ensure the supplier portfolio is optimized by eliminating dormant suppliers and rationalizing the active supply base.Improve customer experience by driving order fulfillment improvements.Perform other related tasks as required.Your value You will come from a background working in a Purchasing Officer role and have the following experience and attributes:
Experience using M/S Power BI, Excel, and general Microsoft Office.Experience in managing Logistics Service Providers and daily buying operations.Relevant experience in Warehousing/Distribution/Supply Chain.Ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.Proven ability to liaise, negotiate, and communicate professionally with a range of stakeholders.Proactive, positive, and a willingness to learn.Strong problem solver, a lateral thinker, and ability to adapt to change swiftly and effectively.Highly regarded: Relevant qualification in Supply Chain or a related field.Working knowledge of Operational Freight processes & International Trade terms.The opportunity This is a standout opportunity to further your skills and experience with a world-renowned OEM.
