As part of the Operations department, you'll contribute directly to the efficiency and reliability of our supply chain, ensuring the seamless delivery of goods and services.Description:What You'll Be Doing:Collaborate with stakeholders to identify procurement needs and align with business goals.Research and evaluate potential suppliers, comparing their products, prices, and services.Negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best deals.Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely supply and prevent shortages.Assess and manage supplier performance, ensuring quality and reliability.Partner with internal teams to understand demand forecasts and project requirements.Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and key procurement data.Stay ahead of market trends, exploring new products and alternative sourcing options.What We're Looking For:While prior experience in purchasing or procurement is a plus, we value a willingness to learn and a proactive attitude just as much.
Key qualities include:Strong negotiation skills with a focus on balancing cost savings and quality.Excellent communication abilities to foster effective relationships with suppliers and colleagues.Analytical thinking and proficiency in data analysis for informed decision-making.A meticulous eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.Your Skills:Experience in procurement or purchasing processes (preferred, not essential).Familiarity with supply chain management principles.Proficiency in purchasing software and MS Office applications.Ability to analyse market trends and implement cost-saving strategies.Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.About the Business:Uniplan Group is one of NSW's largest modular building manufacturers with over 25 years in the industry.

Starting off as a steel chassis and ending up as a completed, ready to occupy building in as little as 21 days.We are currently seeking a skilled Purchasing professional to join our Operations team in Armidale, NSW.
