Purchasing Manager

Full time permanent position Supportive work environment Regular staff lunches  Accessible learning and development Internal career opportunities Employee Assistance Program Salary range $70 - $80K per annum 40 hour work week  You'll be joining a well-established company, with a great culture The responsibilities of the role include: Oversee and record procurement, storage, and distribution of goods for internal requirements and equipment such as: consumables, electrical parts, spare parts for strappers, any vehicle maintenance related items and other miscellaneous items Assist Maintenance Manager of our QLD branch with purchase order related matters Develop and oversee recording methods to track supply levels Arrange and follow up on collection of purchase orders Develop and oversee strategies to minimize stock purchasing costs.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement innovative procurement strategies.
Communicate and barter with suppliers.
Oversee restocking and reordering of stock to ensure stock levels are optimal at all times.
Maintain and improve relationships with all stakeholders To be successful in the role, you will need: Procurement or any relevant qualification At least 3 years work experience in a similar role or level Experience in contract development and management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in manufacturing industry, advantageous.
