Big Yellow was formed in 2021 to meet a gap in the market where small to medium sized mining enterprises require a mining services company that also provides the leadership, technical expertise and management they need. What differentiates us from other mining servicing companies is that we are a 'people business'.
We're passionate about leadership, our people, our culture, whilst fostering genuine partnerships with our clients and suppliers. As we further grow our presence in the WA mining market, we are seeking an experienced Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator to provide strong support to our various projects across the goldfields and Midwest regions.
This is a full time role based in our Welshpool head office, where the successful applicant will be responsible for leading day to day purchasing activities within the business, to maintain a timely and consistent flow of parts for our CAT & Komatsu mining fleets, together with consumables across on site departments such as drill & blast, crushing, workshop and administration.
We are seeking an individual with the ability to manage a timely purchasing workflow, from initial requisition through to dispatch of freight from our yard to site - via both in-house and external means.
We are a business that is focused on relationships, so forming bonds with internal stakeholders on site, through to our trusted supplier base is critical to success in this role.
Occasional trips to site are necessary to further these relationships and to also seek opportunities to improve processes.
Responsibilities:A background in purchasing and logistics supplying projects in the Midwest & Goldfields.Knowledge and experience in Caterpillar's SIS 2.0 and Komatsu's Komtrax systems.A results driven mindset, with the ability to problem solve and think on your feet.Current WA Drivers Licence.Able to provide Police Clearance.Intermediate Computer Skills (Microsoft Suite inc Teams, plus experience with Aroflo an advantage).Offered as a permanent Monday - Friday role based in Welshpool, with our small but dedicated team that is focused on providing our projects with quality support on a day to day basis.
Start date of the role is flexible across December or January in line with successful applicant's availability.
