Our Role: This role is responsible for the processing of requisitions and purchase orders to ensure purchasing is completed in line with Graymont standards. The role will generate value by ensuring parts and services are available to site teams and purchasing agreements are followed. For the site the role is located, they are responsible for the management of the inventory onsite to ensure parts are available for maintenance activity in the correct condition. This will be achieved by maintaining the warehouse at greater than 3s and ensuring inventory accuracy above Graymont's targets. Key focus areas the role will include: For the site where the position is located, Complete preventative maintenance (PM) tasks on inventory items as per detailed work orders. Create job kits for maintenance work orders as per the pick list developed in the planning process. Communicate to the planner when this task is completed. Maintain warehouse at greater than 5s standard (sort, set, shine, standardise, sustain). Follow JDE workflow and Graymont processes for the following tasks: Good receipting Booking parts from the warehouse Booking return parts into the warehouse Completion of cycle counts Place requisitions for parts to support local and remote maintenance planners. Creation of inventory parts in JDE Work with purchasing specialist on parts not supplied at correct quality or correct specification. Participate in Maintenance Team Performance Meetings and contribute to required task, shift, and site reporting. Act as a team member with maintenance leader and reliability engineer in annual review of reorder quantities and reorder points. Provide and receive feedback by conducting and participating in regular safety observations. Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Identify hazards and report them to the HSE Officer and/or Site Manager. Processing purchasing requisitions generated by plant personnel. Obtaining quotations from suppliers. Processing Purchase Orders (PO) for approvals. Sending POs to suppliers and following up on deliveries. Work with site teams and suppliers on parts not supplied at correct quality or correct specification. Manage requisitions in JDE and obtain quotations where agreements are not in place. Ensure information is updated in PO with correct delivery dates, quotation information, account codes, freight, etc. Seek approval for PO. Send PO to suppliers once approved. Review open requisitions and orders monthly. Monitor aging purchase orders and develop corrective actions required to meet business objectives. Understand types of information captured inside JDE for maintenance parts. Run PO generator to capture parts to be ordered based on ROP (reorder point). Obtain quotations and confirm requirement and place PO. Regular communication with maintenance planner and inventory specialist on orders and parts delivery. Understand the work management cycle and role of purchaser in process. Understand how an end user will order a maintenance part from a work order using EPL and requisition process. Maintain a clean, safe, and conducive work environment. Support Graymont Performance Management System in participating in the periodic performance evaluations. Outcomes Inventory parts are maintained and available for maintenance work on plant and equipment (minimising downtime). Maintenance team have work order kits containing parts for current maintenance schedule (maximising wrench time). Inventory accuracy is above Graymont targets and managed in JDE. Purchase orders are in place for parts and services at operational sites. Value is generated for Graymont by purchasing items in line with standards to reduce business risk and cost. Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following attributes and qualifications: Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft programs. At least 2-3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position, preferably in the manufacturing industry. Experience in applying an ERP system to manage inventory. Knowledge, awareness, and proven experience in application of 5s process. Excellent attention to detail. Proactive with a strong customer and team focus.
