With responsibility for purchasing and inventory across the AU/NZ region, you will manage vendor relationships (majority are overseas), negotiate contracts, and implement frameworks that streamline processes.
You'll lead a team of 2 and engage with internal stakeholders across the business to ensure inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency.
This role offers the perfect blend of strategic thinking, leadership, and operational execution whilst working with a supportive, driven and respectful team.Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong vendor/supplier relationships, ensuring pricing, quality, and service benchmarks are met.Negotiate and manage contracts, securing cost-effective agreements and mitigating risks.Optimize inventory levels using systems like NetStock to balance supply with demand.Implement frameworks for pricing, approvals, and supplier performance reviews.Lead and develop a team of two, fostering a positive and collaborative atmosphere.Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and reduce excess or obsolete stock.Collaborate with internal teams to improve lead times, production schedules, and cash flow.Identify and onboard backup suppliers to reduce business risk.Candidate ProfileYou are a proactive, people-oriented professional with strong supply chain expertise and a knack for stakeholder management.
Your ability to negotiate, analyse, and implement strategic frameworks is matched by your commitment to fostering positive relationships both internally and externally.
Ideally, you have experience in manufacturing or distribution and are ready to step up into a leadership role.We're looking for someone with:
