Contract services include providing the maintenance, equipment, and labour to complete the job.Harsco Rail offers contract services for Rail Grinding and has been grinding rail for over 50 years, covering more than 300,000 km (192,000 miles) in the last 7 years.JOB PURPOSEThis position is primarily to provide purchasing and warehouse administrative support.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES/COMPETENCIESQualifications & ExperienceAdministration in a rail or engineering environment.Excellent organisational skills.Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.Ability to prioritise.Administration experience in an MRP environment.Ability to read engineering drawings or any relevant technical documents.Good presentation, verbal and written communication skills.Solid skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access).BehavioursAttention to DetailTeam WorkRESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIESData management in the MRP system including new part set up, Bill of Material (BoM) maintenance, Distribution Planning and Stock / Non-stock booking in.Support the supply chain team with PPE ordering and management.Control of supplier compliance liaising with suppliers for periodic data reviews and maintaining due diligence, code of conduct and insurance records through developing and maintaining a database.Processing purchase requisitions, non-stock purchase orders and supporting material requests.Reviewing and resolving Invoice Queries.Managing the office consumables.Support the supply chain team with audit preparation and filing.Support the supply chain team with cycle counting, stock adjustment processing, and identifying, reporting and resolving system discrepancies relating to stock movements.Expediting critical components and overdue purchase orders, providing regular feedback on supply and stock issues to stakeholders as required.Be a strong team player with the ability to work effectively on cross-functional project teams.Must be capable of handling multiple tasks at one time.Must be able to develop excellent working relationships with both internal and external customers as well as suppliers.Attending meetings as and when required.Any other reasonable tasks.HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIESTo take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by your acts and omissions at work.Contribute to the delivery of company occupational health and welfare, safety and environmental improvement plans.Only undertake work for which you have been trained and (if required) certified competent.To comply with Risk Assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.Maintain and utilise all PPE provided by the employer.Co-operate with your employer on health, safety and environment.Make safe any unsafe conditions where practical and challenge unsafe work practices.Inform your line manager, supervisor or health and safety representative of any unsafe occurrences.Report all, and assist with investigating relevant accidents, incidents and near misses.Additional responsibilities as identified for Managers in PRO/S/G/015.
