Job Title
Pump Technician - Multi Skilled / Electrical / Mechanical Reporting To Service Manager / Projects Manager
Department - Location Aberdeen / Edinburgh / Glasgow / Manchester
Main Purpose To install, maintain, repair and fault find on various pumping equipment including associated systems within industrial, commercial and domestic environments.
Duties & Responsibilities Carry out maintenance, reactive and installation work in line with current standards, ensuring first-class quality of work.Perform full test and inspection of all works, ensuring equipment is fully functional as required.Operate using safe working practices with regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal, etc., in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of Pump Action.Provide day-to-day communication with line manager and colleagues to ensure workload and works are understood and delivered effectively.Provide technical support and assistance to other Pump Action Limited employees and clients as required.Effectively and timely operate the Pump Action Limited electronic Job card - update and close off process.Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota.Report all accidents or incidents (near misses) to the line manager as soon as practical.Liaise with clients on site, providing work updates and technical support as required.Liaise with suppliers to source parts and equipment as necessary.Skills & Knowledge & Person Specification Qualifications, training & professional membership City & Guilds or similar in Electrical - Mechanical discipline.A minimum of at least 3 years relevant post-apprenticeship experience in (not all essential):Booster setsPressurisation unitsSump setsThermal expansionSewage - drainage stationsHVAC and associated pumping equipmentSystem commissioningGrease removal systemsA full driving licence.Attributes Good communication and organisational skills, able to work in a methodical and calm manner.Able to work under pressure and to specified deadlines.Attention to detail and accuracy during works.Self-motivated and able to work alone without constant supervision, or with an apprentice as required.Ability to use own initiative, knowing when to refer matters to a supervisor or line manager for support and advice.Able to work under pressure to achieve required Client Service Level.Presentable and able to undertake duties in line with management recommendations, instructions, company policy, and client requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
