The role is essential for servicing equipment in the field, diagnosing, and repairing breakdowns both on-site and in the workshop, and requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulic principles, and troubleshooting techniques. The Pump Mechanic will ensure that all pumping systems operate efficiently and safely.The Key Responsibilities:Oversee the daily setup and monitoring of the pit dewatering program.Perform dewatering duties in active mining environments.Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on pump systems and equipment.Install, maintain, and repair dewatering pipework and systems.Study blueprints to determine pipeline layouts.Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in pumps and motors.Collaborate with the maintenance team on equipment upgrades.Perform laser alignment and regular testing of pumps.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.Ensure compliance with safety standards.Assist in identifying and implementing improvement initiatives.Ensure all tools and equipment are in working condition.Assemble and install mechanical services and air handling equipment.About You:To be successful in this role, you'll need:Qualification: Technical trade qualification in mechanical engineering.Experience: 2-5 years of Mechanical experience, preferably in pump systems.Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, pump fault finding expertise, and meticulous attention to detail.Licenses/Certifications: MR/HR Rigid Driver's License, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces, High Risk and Construction Industry OHS White Card (desirable).Clearance: National Police Clearance and satisfactory pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.How to Apply:If you are ready to take the next step in your career and believe you have the skills and experience to succeed in this role, we'd love to hear from you!
