About the Job
About the role We are seeking an experienced Training Delivery Lead (Safeworking) to join our team. In this key leadership role, you will oversee a team of trainers responsible for delivering PTA-accredited and non-accredited operational training programs, primarily in Safeworking. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the training team, including scheduling, staffing, procurement, budgets, performance, and contracts. Additionally, you will lead the design, development, and evaluation of curriculum and learning materials, ensuring compliance with PTA standards and principles of adult learning.
As an experienced trainer, you will also contribute to the design and delivery of training within your subject matter expertise. Working closely with the Principal Consultants in Learning & Development and the Vocational Training Manager, you will play a key role in improving learning outcomes and driving continuous improvement across the training function. You will provide specialist advice on operational training issues, manage external training providers, and ensure that training services meet high-quality standards. In this role, you will foster a positive work environment through mentoring and supporting your team, encouraging continuous improvement, and delivering consistent, high-quality learning experiences.
The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of PTA Safeworking Rules and Procedures, along with a strong understanding of operational activities and requirements in the PTA Track Protection. A sound knowledge and application of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 is also required.
This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record in training delivery and team management. About You!
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Certificate IV in Training and Workplace Assessment (TAE 40122) or equivalent qualification. Extensive experience in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of adult learning programs, ideally within a complex operational or rail environment. Proven leadership and management skills, including team leadership, fostering a performance-driven culture and leading change initiatives. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Well-developed planning, organisational and time management skills, including a demonstrated ability to: Prioritise and manage a range of diverse tasks with competing priorities and deadlines. Schedule, coordinate, monitor and progress work/projects to achieve goals and objectives.
