About the role
Our Rail Planning Branch is seeking a passionate and results-driven Engagement and Communications Advisor to help champion better communities and drive the success of our high-value transport infrastructure projects.
In this exciting and impactful role, you will have the opportunity to develop and execute engagement strategies and initiatives that foster a deep understanding of a projects' significance, both within PTA and across the broader community.
Your expertise will ensure effective communication throughout the planning and development phases of key projects.
You will craft targeted engagement plans, produce compelling communication materials, and oversee the work of PTA consultants, ensuring consistency and alignment with PTA's goals.
The ideal candidate will be able to cultivate and nurture positive, productive relationships which ensure a continuous flow of ideas and encourage collaboration among stakeholders.
Whether you're engaging with government agencies, responding to public inquiries, or contributing to strategic communications, you'll play a critical role in the development of projects that serve the public interest.
About You!
To excel in this role, you should possess:
A proven ability to plan and deliver a broad range of communications, including print, online and face-to-face, to effectively meet stakeholder engagement strategy objectives.
Experience in responding to government and industry stakeholder enquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner including face-to-face, online and via phone.
The ability to negotiate and liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Relevant tertiary qualification or experience.

There is currently one fixed term opportunity available to 30 June 2028 , with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency.
