About the Role Are you passionate about environmental sustainability and public safety? Our client is seeking a dedicated Landfill Remediation Adviser to oversee the operational management of closed landfills across the area. This role is integral to ensuring the safe and effective planning, inspection, remediation, and educational initiatives for these sites.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Develop and implement Closed Landfill Management Plans aligned with asset and service management standards. Conduct site inspections, particularly post-wet weather, to ensure landfill safety and integrity. Coordinate site investigations, environmental monitoring, and remediation projects, managing all stages from design review to contract administration. Oversee infrastructure development and upgrade projects, ensuring minimal environmental impact. About You You are a results-driven professional with expertise in landfill or contaminated land management and a commitment to environmental stewardship. You thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment and are skilled in balancing multiple priorities while ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency.
Your Qualifications and Skills Proven experience in landfill remediation, environmental monitoring, or contaminated land management. Strong project management and contract administration skills. Ability to assess and address issues effectively, particularly during and after adverse weather conditions. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
