About the role: In this newly created role you will play a pivotal role in shaping the airport's public policy agenda. You will be responsible for executing the Corporate Affairs Strategy while facilitating the development of aviation policy in collaboration with the executive team. Your role will involve managing stakeholder engagement, preparing formal correspondence with government entities on various policy issues, structuring relationships with different levels of government, overseeing corporate affairs matters, managing industry associations and providing written communications. Your ability to influence potential changes to legislation, regulation, and aviation policy will be crucial in this role. Responsibilities: Execute and manage AAL's Corporate Affairs Strategy and policy agenda. Facilitate the development of aviation policy with input from the executive team. Develop AAL's responses to industry research. Manage AAL's approach to monitoring, influencing, and directing potential changes to legislation, regulation, and aviation policy. Lead and prepare submissions to government and industry. Prepare formal correspondence with government ministers and departments in relation to policy issues or any other matter. Structure and manage AALs relationships and information flow with all levels of federal, state, and local government. Manage industry associations Manage stakeholder engagement and corporate affairs matters. Provide support on public written communications, including drafting of AAL's Integrated Report. Skills and background: The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in policy, communications, and stakeholder relations. You will ideally have a degree in Public Policy, or related disciplines Your excellent written and oral presentation skills will be utilised in managing stakeholder engagement and corporate affairs matters. Your high personal integrity and diligent work ethic will be key to your success in this role. A strong commercial acumen and the ability to interpret and apply Government regulations, standards and procedures are also essential.
