Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards.
With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region, and dedicated outreach teams who travel to 3 additional locations.The Public Health Team Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating daily activities of community-based staff through daily team meetings, ensuring community workers are supported to carry out activities in line with their program work plans, communicate any issues to program managers and work collaboratively to resolve.
Candidates must have post-secondary qualifications in a relevant discipline or significant experience in training and development of Aboriginal staff and will also have an understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control, self-determination, and the issues faced by Yol?u people living in remote settings.
