This role will involve planning, implementing, and evaluating health promotion resources to enhance community well-being across the Miwatj Region. Established in 1992, we're committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem and enabling Yol?u powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region, and dedicated outreach teams who travel to 3 additional locations.The Public Health Projects Coordinator will collaborate with Public Health program leads, coordinate planning, monitoring and evaluation cycles for Public Health activities and resources; develop and maintain collaborative, positive relationships with Miwatj mala, staff and partner agencies to facilitate integrated health promotion and prevention activities across the East Arnhem region; lead the adaptation and development of culturally appropriate and in-language resources to meet the needs of our communities.Candidates must have an understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control, self-determination, and the issues faced by Yol?u people living in remote settings; Diploma or extensive experience in health promotion, principles and social determinants, in public health or related discipline in an Aboriginal public setting.Vaccination & Immunity ScreeningMiwatj Health is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all workers and users of its healthcare centres.
