As a Public Health Programs Support Officer with Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation, you'll assist in the development and implementation of health programs, ensuring they meet the needs of our community in East Arnhem Land. This role is part-time, fixed-term ending 30 June 2025. About Miwatj Miwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service. Established in 1992, we're committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem and enabling Yol?u powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards.
The Public Health Team Coordinator will provide secretarial support by coordinating meetings, taking minutes and the coordination and dissemination of appropriate information to relevant persons and organisations; provide logistical support in the planning and delivery of Public Health workshops, conferences, professional development opportunities and training events; administer, contribute to, and moderate Public Health social media initiatives.
Candidates must have an understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control, self-determination, and the issues faced by Yol?u people living in remote settings.
