We're seeking a dedicated and culturally aware individual to support public health initiatives. In this role, you will provide support to and empower community-based public health staff to build their capacity and confidence implementing outreach program activities. This role is offered as full-time fixed term role until 30 June 2025.Successful applicants will have access to a range of benefits, including:Competitive salary of $94,498 - $99,418 per annum11.5% SuperannuationOffice based in the heart of Darwin CityAbility to Salary Package up to $15,900pa plus a further $2,650pa on Meals and EntertainmentAbout MiwatjMiwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service. Established in 1992, we're committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem and enabling Yol?u powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region, and dedicated outreach teams who travel to 3 additional locations.This role will see you working in a remote Aboriginal community. All applicants must have an understanding and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control, self-determination, and the issues faced by Yol?u people living in remote settings; Ability to speak an Aboriginal language from the Miwatj Region (East Arnhem Land) and/or knowledge of Yol?u kinship systems.
