You will supervise and guide a team of cleaners, manage daily cleaning schedules, and ensure optimal service and guest satisfaction.
You will also:
Supervise the Public Area Cleaning team to maintain cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of all assigned areas.Train and develop staff to meet performance standards and provide consistent, high-quality service.Report maintenance or safety issues promptly to the Maintenance Department to ensure prompt resolution.Support the recruitment process, monitor performance, and conduct regular appraisals for team members.Collaborate with the Conventions Supervisor to coordinate rosters for daily cleaning and special events.Assist with roster planning for deep cleaning and other special projects.Foster a positive, team-focused work environment.Ensure compliance with all Work, Health & Safety (WHS) regulations and company policies.About You: You will also have:
A positive and helpful attitude, with strong leadership skills.High attention to detail and a passion for maintaining cleanliness to the highest standards.The ability to be flexible and reliable in a rotating roster environment.A current open/unrestricted driver's license.Experience in a supervisory or leadership role, ideally in a hotel or hospitality environment.A physically fit and energetic approach to tasks, capable of lifting and carrying equipment (e.g., 10kg back-mounted vacuum cleaner).About Us: Part of the Whitsundays and in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, Hamilton Island is one of Australia's most spectacular and sought-after holiday destinations.
