Psychosocial Support Program Urban Coordinator - Adult Supports Psychosocial Support Program Urban Coordinator - Adult Supports TeamHEALTH has become the leading not for profit provider of mental health services in the Top End of the Northern Territory, providing outreach services, support and advocacy for Territorians with mental illness for over 30 years.
TeamHEALTH delivers a range of supports for Adults that provide increased opportunities of recovery for people whose lives are severely affected by mental illness to remain living independently in the community. The aim is to support recovery, reduce social isolation and improve employment outcomes. Using a strengths-based approach, and providing intensive one-to-one support, the service delivery provides:
• access to appropriate support services at the right time;
• personal capacity, confidence and self-reliance;
• increased social and community participation, and;
• the ability to manage daily activities
Reporting to the Team Leader the Coordinator provides leadership and day to day management of the Adult Supports team. The Coordinator plays a key role in supporting, coaching and training Mental Health Recovery Workers and Wellbeing Workers located in Darwin to build capacity and capabilities in the provision of a strength based, psychosocial rehabilitation framework, with a focus on the areas of living, learning, working and socialising.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Tertiary or Diploma level qualification in a relevant health or welfare discipline. Demonstrated skills and application of delivering strength-based strategies, recovery model and psychosocial rehabilitation. Demonstrated experience in the delivery of services to people with mental illness and psychiatric disability in a community setting. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with key stakeholders including community members, community services and government departments. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop staff to ensure they perform and reach their full potential TeamHEALTH recognises the value of experience in all facets of life and work and encourages individuals with a lived experience of mental illness to apply.
The successful applicant will be required to have a current National Police Certificate, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, NT Driver's Licence and completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
