About the role Reporting to the Growing Connections Senior Leader, this position would suit someone who enjoys working closely with other mental health colleagues and collaborating with other allied health professionals. Currently, this role mainly involves supporting young children and adolescents but there is also the opportunity to support young people and adults with a disability if there is interest and experience in this space. We understand that the work can be complex and as such we will support you to choose a focus for your work and provide a caseload that reflects this focus.
The primary purpose of these roles is to provide assessments and implement evidence-based intervention while building supportive therapeutic relationships not only with clients but also with parents, families, and caregivers.
This role will be responsible for:
Using a holistic, trauma-informed, client-centred approach when working closely with families, carers, teachers and other health professionals to support clients Providing evidence-based psychological/mental health/behavioural interventions and comprehensive assessments in line with professional and ethical guidelines Providing consultancy support to members of the client's team Maintaining registration requirements and professional knowledge Contributing to organisation goals Selection criteria Tertiary Degree qualification in Psychology or relevant qualification for the role applied for Current registration with AHPRA or working towards registration as a Provisional Psychologist Knowledge of, and ability to implement evidence-based psychological interventions Ability to carry out assessments and interventions with clients across a range of settings (e.g. home, early childhood setting, school, community, clinic) Knowledge of, and experience in, family-centred and strength-based approaches to intervention Excellent written and verbal communication skills Mandatory Requirements Valid New South Wales Drivers Licence Current Working with Children Check (Employee) NDIS Worker Screening Check Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR) Right to work in Australia What we offer Opportunities for career progression and specialisation, including in-house and external training designed to target your ongoing professional development and interest Regular peer mentoring Group supervision with a board-approved supervisor as well as 1:1 supervision Generous leave provisions, including rostered days off (RDO) and option of additional purchased annual leave Salary packaging where a portion of your income can be tax-free (up to $15,900 per annum) Free 24/7 well-being and safety support via Sonder On the job training for psychologists A mix of community and clinic-based work Working alongside a range of allied health professionals Administration support to book appointments and resources 30-minute paid lunch break 7.5 hour work days Highly flexible working arrangements, the opportunity to choose your work hours and options to work from home If this role sounds like you, and you want to be part of an organisation who really values you, apply now!
