It is the purpose of this role to deliver high quality, evidence based mental health services as a member of the multidisciplinary mental health team to consumers (and their carers) of the Child and Youth Mental Health Service Acute Response Team (CYMHS-ART) who experience a mental health crisis.Care is delivered with a focus on consumer and carer needs. This is achieved through comprehensive clinical assessment, consumer education, formulation, brief therapeutic intervention and/or management and assistance with discharge planning within a multidisciplinary context. The above interventions are delivered within Recovery Oriented, Developmental, Systemic, Attachment, Trauma Informed and Sociocultural frameworks.About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
As a member of the multidisciplinary team, deliver competent mental health services to consumers with complex mental health, alcohol and other drug treatment needs, based on valid and reliable evidence, in accordance with professional practice, ethical and mental health standards to ensure culturally appropriate consumer focused outcomes.Provide integration and co-ordination between different aspects of the service in order to facilitate the delivery of an efficient and highly responsive CYMHS service to the public.Participate in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement and research activities within the Mental Health Service that continually improve consumer care and enhance the delivery of services within a multidisciplinary team and the service.Health Equity It is expected that all Metro North Health staff, including the incumbent of this role as a valuable member of the Metro North workforce, contribute to the health equity agenda and meet the intent of supporting the defined six actions that specifically meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS).
