An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist - Senior (Leave Relief) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12,000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will Deliver high level clinical services in accordance with professional standards including the APS Code of Ethics, the Queensland Mental Health Act 2016 and National Practice Standards for the Mental Health Workforce.Provide high level clinical psychology services including psychological assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services to assist consumers to recover from mental illness and gain skills needed to discharge back to the community.Demonstrate developed knowledge and clinical skill providing intensive, developmentally appropriate, consumer-centered, mental health interventions and ongoing assessments for consumers who require high intensity services.Utilise independent clinical reasoning and professional judgement requiring minimum supervision in the selection of appropriate psychometric measures and preparation of psychological reports and treatment recommendations.About you To be successful in this position you will require:
A tertiary degree in Psychology.AHPRA Registration.Driver Licence.Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B.Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required.Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost).About Us Embodying the Gold Coast Health philosophy of Always Care, the inpatient mental health teams provide a therapeutic environment which conveys hope, optimism and a belief in recovery to empower individuals to live a meaningful and connected life not defined by their illness.
