Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000) with services located in each area.
The Community Services Team is based in Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast and provides a service to consumers with complex mental illness in outpatient and home settings, through a range of community mental health interventions including assessment, case management, therapeutic treatment, support, consultations, and referral for adults from the Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast regional area. The service works in collaboration with the adult mental health inpatient and acute care teams, and primary health, community, and private sector providers to reduce symptoms of mental illness and facilitate recovery.
About the role:The Psychologist - Senior is employed within a multi-disciplinary team. There is scope for this role to provide discipline specific care; psychological assessment/report writing and brief therapeutic intervention.The Psychologist - Senior will engage in comprehensive consumer focussed mental health consultation, assessment, intervention, and training to ensure seamless care for consumers between Community Mental Health, local public hospitals and the primary health and community sector.Provision of psychological screening and assessment (including the use of specialised psychological measures such as self-report rating scales, personality inventories, intellectual and cognitive assessment) to assist with diagnosis, formulation, and treatment. This includes the interpretation of test results and the provision of written reports to inform treatment and guide referrals.About you:Mandatory qualification/s: The successful applicant must possess a four-year degree in Psychology (Honours, Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution.Full General Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual practicing certificate.Appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 is required. If not held prior to appointment must be able to obtain.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $152,776 p.a. is comprised of:
