Child and Youth Mental Health are looking for a Senior Psychologist to join their team. This role provides senior Psychology services within the Browns Plains Child and Youth Mental Health Intake and Clinical Services, delivering evidence-based care as part of a multidisciplinary team. It supports optimal patient care through service development, quality improvement, clinical education, and contributes to quality and research initiatives. The position also involves supervising and training less experienced clinicians, students, and Allied Health Assistants.

About the Role Manage an allocated workload to deliver Psychology services, including assessment, intervention and evaluation within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with established clinical & departmental protocols, policies and procedures, utilising evidence-based practice and ethical standards and under clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of senior staff.Liaise and work effectively in a professional manner with clients and their carers, other health professionals, students and external agencies to achieve a client-centred approach, utilising negotiation and conflict resolution skills as required.Continually develop clinical practice knowledge, skills and expertise through self-directed learning, active learning within a team environment and engaging in professional development activities, including participating in the performance appraisal and development plans.Develop clinical psychology practice knowledge and expertise by engaging in, initiating, and facilitating professional development activities within the multidisciplinary team and Psychology specific networks, and through clinical practice supervision, performance appraisal and competency training to ensure professional clinical standards are met.
