About the Role As a Psychologist your core responsibilities of the role will include:
Provide psychological services using evidence-based practice with children, adolescents and adults (depending on your choice of ideal client ages).Create and implement appropriate assessment and intervention plans for clients.Educational / Developmental Assessments are an option if it fits with your interest.Facilitate our unique Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy (VRET) Phobia Treatment Program.Engage in monthly peer supervision / professional development.Follow practice policies and procedures and the Psychology Code of Ethics.This is a flexible part-time (minimum 3 days per week) to full-time position, available to start shortly, with attractive remuneration commensurate with your qualifications, skills and experience.
About You You are a registered psychologist / provisional psychologist who likes to think creatively and holistically about mental health – all the layers that have an impact on their lives. You will be looking for the right clinic to expand and grow your knowledge and skills that also aligns with your values as a person and practitioner.
We are seeking mature-minded and independent individuals looking for a position to grow in and contribute to our thriving clinic. You will have a warm professional presence with clients with a passion for delivering exceptional service. Showing emotional resilience and empathy towards your clients will be paramount.
You will be an excellent communicator who is confident, accurate, and thorough. You have an analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure and in sensitive situations.
Ideally, you will have experience working independently with high standards of professional practice in a range of evidence-based interventions. You may have had experience working with clients within the areas of trauma and phobias.
You have a committed and results-driven attitude towards work, a high ethical standard and unquestionable commitment to confidentiality and professionalism. You know what you want and how to achieve your goals – and Mind Up will help you achieve these dreams.
The Musts Bachelor's Degree (Honours) or Master's in Psychology.Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements.Knowledge of research, evidence-based theory, and clinical practice applicable to the area of mental health.Hold a Working With Children's Check (Employee).Satisfactory National Police Check.Current AHPRA registration.Medicare Provider Number (or be eligible to apply for one).If this sounds like you and you are as excited as we are about this opportunity, then we would love to hear from you!
