Mental Health Clinician (Clinical Psychologist P2, Psychologist P2, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Dietitian, Art Therapist, Mental Health Nurse with therapy experience) – Grade 1 or 2 Allied Health, Grade 3 Nursing
Position Overview: Two 12-month fixed-term positions, one 0.6EFT and one 0.8EFT (0.4 to 1.0 EFT negotiable) at The Melbourne Clinic, Richmond, Victoria.
The Melbourne Clinic is Australia's largest private mental health service, providing a variety of recovery-focused inpatient and outpatient programs tailored to meet the needs of individuals with a range of mental health conditions, including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
Position Summary: The successful applicant will work within the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Program, designed to help individuals manage their symptoms through Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) principles, with an emphasis on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). The role may also involve working within the Living Well Program.
Responsibilities: Providing targeted assessment and intervention to inpatients with OCD and related disorders within a CBT Framework. Working autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Facilitating groups within the OCD Program and other TMC programs as required. Attending relevant multidisciplinary team meetings. Participating in the development and review of programs and policies. Contributing to quality improvement and research projects. Essential Criteria: Qualification in an allied health profession, e.g. Clinical Psychology, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Art Therapy, Mental Health Nursing with at least 12-month experience in mental health. Registration with AHPRA for your profession, or eligibility for membership with AASW, DAA, or ANZACATA. Experience in working with individuals with OCD (desirable). Experience in delivering exposure-based approaches for OCD and related disorders. Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills. Commitment to ongoing education and provision of evidence-based practice. Current Working with Children Check. All staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and Influenza.
