In this role you will work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to deliver person-centred counselling and psychological therapeutic interventions to participants who are receiving disability supports under the NDIS.Responsibilities include:Working in a culturally diverse environment, providing contemporary, evidence-based psychology services, including assessment, treatment planning and evaluation, for people presenting with a wide range of conditions and syndromes and mental health concerns.Working collaboratively with families/caregivers to assess, plan, implement and review targeted and meaningful developmental therapy.Utilising appropriate standardised assessment tools for the purposes of service intake/clinical triage, goal evaluation, and monitoring of growth/development over time.Providing education to family members, educators, and support staff regarding ways to support participants and appropriate responses to different behaviours.About youThis position is open to candidates seeking either full-time or part-time employment.
We are looking for an experienced psychologist, preferably with experience providing services within a disability sector context, with the ability to develop individualised strategies and clinical management plans that are responsive to the person's needs and in line with their goals.You will have a positive attitude and be adaptive and flexible to the changing needs of clients, NDIS and the organisation.
Throughout your work you will build on strengths, and where challenges arise, you will approach them collaboratively, in partnership with families, carers, teachers and colleagues.In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:Undergraduate qualification in psychology and current AHPRA registration.High-level interpersonal skills with a strong person-centred focus.Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including liaison, engagement and negotiation skills.High level written communication skills, with the ability to complete comprehensive and accurate case notes and reports.Ability to work independently, as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.You will also need to hold (or have the ability to obtain) a current Ochre Card, Criminal History Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid certificate, evidence of Australian work rights, and an NT Drivers Licence.Why work with us?We provide a positive work environment that encourages and promotes work/life balance, a sense of humour and having fun.
