Apply now Job no: 501833 Work type: Fixed Term, Permanent Location: South Brisbane Categories: Allied Health About the roleWe have an exciting position available for an experienced Psychologist (0.6 FTE) looking to join the team on an 8 month contract!Catherine's House is Australia's first integrated centre for perinatal mental health care and provides mental health treatment and support to new parents.The outpatient Perinatal Mental Health Services includes the Mater Perinatal Psychology Team, Families in Mind, the Together in Mind group program and an outpatient Consultant Psychiatrist Clinic. These combined services support mothers and families during the perinatal and postnatal period and referral reasons may include antenatal/postnatal anxiety, birth trauma, adjustment to parenting, emotional distress and low mood during the perinatal period. The Psychologist will provide clinical care across the perinatal continuum (antenatal, NCCU and the Mater Parenting Support Centre) and work collaboratively with the broader multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will work with various professionals across Mater Health and requires a well-developed interpersonal, problem solving and customer focused skillset.About youGeneral registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) / Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.Highly Desirable QualificationsPostgraduate qualifications in Clinical or Educational & Developmental Psychology.Working towards or attained PsyBA approved supervisor.Working towards or attained PsyBA area of practice endorsement in Clinical or Educational & Developmental PsychologySkills, Knowledge and ExperienceExperience in provision of Psychology services, ideally in a health setting and perinatal mental health.Demonstrated clinical practice and application of clinical judgement in the provision of high quality, evidence based, patient centred care.Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work co-operatively with professional and multi-disciplinary teams, patients and carers to achieve optimal outcomes.Demonstrated ability or ability to rapidly acquire skills to identify, develop and participate in quality and service improvement activities that improve clinical services and patient outcomes.Applications close on Wednesday 13th NovemberPlease note, we may contact applicants prior to the closing date, please do not hesitate to APPLY NOW!Mater is committed to the wellbeing of their staff, and it is underpinned by our flexible and remote working policies.Mater Group is dedicated to creating a workplace that values diversity and inclusion.
