The Department of Education is looking for skilled and passionate Psychologist to contribute to the important work of our Student Support Services (SSS) teams in supporting schools to address the barriers that impact on student(s) access, preparation, and progress to achieving their educational goals and development potential.

About the Division The Department of Education is looking for skilled and passionate Psychologist to contribute to the important work of our Student Support Services (SSS) teams in supporting schools to address the barriers that impact on student(s) access, preparation, and progress to achieving their educational goals and development potential.
If you are passionate about child and adolescent development, trauma informed practices, complex presentations and consulting with educational staff around behavioural and environmental adjustments to support learning engagement, and like working in a collaborative multidisciplinary team - then a role in the Student Support Services is the job for you.
This role involves collaboration with other SSS team members to provide assessment, consultation, support, and program advice to improve teaching, learning and wellbeing strategies for students requiring support. Other key components of the role include highly developed communication skills including report-writing, networking, and interpersonal skills that enable effective liaison with a range of people in the education community and beyond, and the ability to work autonomously.
About the Role SSS comprise a broad range of Allied Health professions including psychologists, speech pathologists, social workers and occupational therapists.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience: Psychologist: A graduate or post-graduate qualification in psychology; full Registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA).
Candidates must possess a current Australian Drivers' Licence and Working with Children Check, and are requested to submit a cover letter and resume.
This is a full time, ongoing vacancy. Other time fractions may be considered. Job Location: This position is based in Bendigo.
